About the Lac La Ronge Indian Band

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band is the one of the largest First Nation in Saskatchewan, with over 12,000+ members. As a Woodland Cree Nation, we take immense pride in our culture and language. Located in north-central Saskatchewan, within Treaty 6 territory, our lands range from rich farmland to boreal forests along the Churchill River. Our multi-reserve band encompasses six communities: Little Red River, Morin Lake (Hall Lake), La Ronge, Sucker River, Stanley Mission, and Grandmother’s Bay. Governed by an elected Chief and 12 Councillors, Chief Tammy Cook-Searson has led our band since 2006.
