The future is looking brighter for the town of Biggar, Saskatchewan—home to AGI Envirotank—thanks to a $25,000 donation from the company in support of the community’s downtown revitalization project.
“Biggar is more than just the location of our business—it’s home to many of our employees and their families,” said Jeff Burton, AGI’s Director of Operations. “Supporting this revitalization project is our way of giving back to the community that supports us. The transformation of the CN grounds into a vibrant gathering space speaks to Biggar’s proud history and its exciting future. We’re proud to play a small part in making that vision a reality.”
The revitalization initiative aims to rejuvenate Main Street and the downtown core, with its centerpiece being the transformation of the historic Canadian National Railway grounds—an iconic local landmark—into a vibrant, multi-use park. The space will feature a festival stage, heritage garden, and tourism hub designed to attract residents and visitors alike.
“It’s an opportunity to celebrate Biggar, our heritage, and our promising future,” said Mayor Jim Rickwood. “This project not only beautifies our town but also enhances accessibility and makes our downtown area more pedestrian-friendly. We want to warmly welcome visitors to explore our restaurants, shops, and outdoor spaces, and encourage them to consider Biggar as their new home.”
