Kitsaki Management Limited Partnership (Kitsaki) is seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President, Stakeholder & Government Relations to join our executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal role is responsible for building and executing comprehensive engagement strategies that strengthen Kitsaki’s relationships with governments, strategic partners, and key stakeholders—locally, provincially, and nationally.
As a leader within a proudly Indigenous-owned organization, you will champion Kitsaki’s mission to drive economic, social, and environmental progress, while ensuring alignment with the values, rights, and priorities of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Leadership
• Develop and implement a strategic partnership framework aligned with Kitsaki’s vision.
• Support and collaborate with Kitsaki subsidiaries to identify risks and opportunities in external relations.
• Guide and support General Managers in negotiating and managing partnerships with industry, government, and Indigenous entities.
• Drive evaluation and development of new partnerships to advance Kitsaki’s long-term economic goals.
Stakeholder Relations
• Serve as Kitsaki’s spokesperson and represent the organization at key meetings and events.
• Present quarterly updates and annual reports to the Board of Directors.
• Represent Kitsaki’s interests through Board appointments, as designated by the CEO.
Government Relations
• Build and maintain relationships with all levels of government.
• Advocate for Kitsaki’s priorities and Indigenous economic inclusion through forums, regulatory bodies, and public policy initiatives.
• Monitor and advise on relevant political and policy developments.
Community Engagement & Communications
• Foster strong relationships with community members, partners, and leaders.
• Attend and represent Kitsaki at events and engagements.
• Support Kitsaki’s communication strategy in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications.
What We’re Looking For:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Indigenous Studies, Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s degree is an asset).
• Experience: 10+ years in senior government relations, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, or Indigenous economic development.
• Skills:
o Deep understanding of Indigenous governance and rights in Canada.
o Strong strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
o Exceptional relationship-building and advocacy skills.
o Experience navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and forming high-value partnerships.
