Kitsaki in the Community
Kitsaki Management Limited Partnership is deeply committed to fostering a thriving, healthy, and culturally rich future for the Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) and its members. Our community-driven initiatives support economic growth, education, cultural preservation, and well-being—ensuring that our people prosper while staying connected to their traditions.
By investing in community development and creating new opportunities for LLRIB members, Kitsaki demonstrates its commitment to preserving and empowering each community.
COMMUNITY AND CULTURE Initiatives
Culture Camps
The Nihithow Askiy (Land of the Cree) Cultural Education Camp near Stanley Mission provides local elementary and high school students with opportunities to learn Cree language skills and engage in traditional activities. From setting snares to skiing and berry picking, these camps preserve and pass on Indigenous knowledge to future generations.

Treaty Days
Every year, LLRIB members in six communities come together to celebrate Treaty Days. This event is a time for unity, remembrance, and honoring the legacy of Chief James Roberts, who signed an adhesion to Treaty 6 in 1889.
TONY COTE SUMMER GAMES
Kitsaki proudly supports the Tony Cote Summer Games, a week-long provincial sporting event that brings together thousands of athletes, coaches, and volunteers. Kitsaki’s $72,000 in sponsorship and support nearly doubles the population of La Ronge during the event, reinforcing our commitment to youth and sport.

Don Allen Saskaloppet
Kitsaki was proud to sponsor the Saskatchewan’s premier cross-country ski event where hundreds of skiers go through the scenic hills and beautiful forests of Lac La Ronge Provincial Park. Over the years, the Saskaloppet which is now named in Allen’s memory has grown to be the largest loppet event in the province and has a trail for every level of skier.

Profit Distribution
Over $20 million distributed to LLRIB communities since 2009.
Contributions support housing, programs for elders and youth, land and resource management, community business development, cultural projects, treaty activities, education, training, and more.
Scholarships
$200,000 in scholarships awarded to band members since 2018.
In partnership with Cameco, we support scholarship resources through a Collaboration Agreement, with LLRIB, Kitsaki, and Cameco each investing $50,000 per year, totaling $150,000 annually.
Health Initiatives
Recognizing the importance of health in our community, Kitsaki has partnered with St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation to support kidney health initiatives. Our $150,000 contribution aids in establishing early screening programs in communities at high risk for chronic kidney disease, including the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and Kinistin Saulteaux Nation.
