We are actively searching for motivated Corporate Training Superintendent, ideally based in our Saskatoon or Nisku offices; a hybrid option could be available. 

Position Summary: 

As a Corporate Training Superintendent, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive training programs for employees across the organization. This role involves assessing training needs, designing curriculum, and coordinating training sessions to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively and advance within the company. You will collaborate with department heads to align training initiatives with corporate goals, evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Designing Training Programs: Identify and address training needs to create tailored programs aligned with company and project objectives.
  • Delivering Training: Organize in-person workshops, online courses, and other learning methods for our teams.
  • Leading Teams: Provide guidance and support to site training teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project department heads to ensure that training programs meet the organization’s evolving needs.
  • Evaluating Programs: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure training programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in Canada.
  • Continuous Improvement: Keep updated on industry trends and best practices in training and use innovative approaches to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Employee Development: Support leadership development, mentoring, and career progression planning initiatives.
  • Technology: Utilize the company’s learning management system (LMS) and other technologies to streamline and enhance the training process.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • 5-10 years of underground mining experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar trainer role.
  • Train-the-trainer certification (considered an asset).
  • A diploma or certificate in adult education will be considered an asset.
  • Professional designation (Registered Professional Trainer, Canadian Registered Safety Professional, etc.) will be considered an asset.
  • Experience using a learning management system.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement training programs.
  • Proven ability to manage, influence, develop, and coach.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Excellent technical writing ability.
  • Willingness to travel to remote job site locations.
